How Much Do CoolSculpting Treatments Cost?

CoolSculpting for New Patients

So, the first treatment can be uncomfortable because you don’t know how your body will react. Well, it feels like you are sitting outside in the middle of winter and someone took a vacuum hose and stuck it onto your stomach. That’s why it is called CoolSculpting, so most people get cold! The suction squeezing is what you may feel more than the actual cold. Once that area goes numb, you won’t feel much.

At the same time, we let you watch a Netflix show on our flat-screen to relax you further during the treatment. The second and third treatments are usually a breeze compared to the first one due to fewer fat cells available. However, you want to wear loose-fitting clothing for a few days.

Good news is the procedure is only 35 mins per area. We do provide dual sculpting with two machines where we can treat your love handles even during your lunch break.

After each area has finished treatment, it takes about 90 days to see the full results. After 45 days during our follow-up, you can decide if you want to treat the area again. The best part is that the treatment is permanent. Once the fat cells die, they disappear for good. However, we recommend a healthy diet and an active lifestyle as a maintenance program.

IPL can treat a wide variety of skin problems such as reducing brown pigment, defusing redness, acne, rosacea, and broken capillaries. It can also help with smoothing uneven texture, anti-aging and even stimulates collagen production, which helps with diminishing wrinkles. IPL is a gentle, non-ablative treatment that use broad spectrum light to treat the face, neck, chest and hands. Also, a great treatment for any skin problems since there is little to no downtime, you can go right back to work after the treatment. Patients sometimes come in during their lunch break!

I especially recommend IPL on a regular basis to anyone who develops an excess of melanin (pigment) in response to overexposure to sunlight, as those sunspots develop, slowly growing over time and get bigger as our skin produces melanin.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the pigment in the skin. I usually recommend a series of minimum 3-4 treatments, every 4 weeks. For darker skin tones we require a test patch to see how the skin reacts before a full treatment.

Will it hurt?

My answer is usually not really. Although, treatment sensation will vary from patient to patient. Most of our clients say it feels like the flicking for a rubber band against the skin. Little to no discomfort is momentary.

What should I expect after IPL? Will my skin be like totally embarrassingly red?

Again IPL treatments are quite gentle to the surrounding pigment on the skin that you can go back and carry on with your day. Post-treatment it is important to apply SPF (I encourage SPF as a part of a daily routine but especially to the treated area). The skin may feel tight and warm almost like a sunburn. Short term side effects are erythema (reddening of the skin), edema (swelling) and in rare cases blistering. The pigmented spots often become darker before they become lighter following IPL. The cells that contain pigment are destroyed then rise to the surface. They then slough off (very light flaking) up to 2 weeks after treatment, but not everyone experiences these darker spots but it is common.

Can I have IPL while pregnant or breastfeeding?

I recommend that women should defer all laser treatments until the postpartum period.

A question I get asked very often is “what do you mean when you say a cycle?“. This term is well used and often assumed to mean a full CoolSculpting treatment, but that’s not the case. A CoolSculpting cycle is actually a treatment of a particular area of the body. Let’s say you want to get rid of a pouchier area the number of cycles for your treatment will be decided depending on your body type, and goals. For example, your stomach and flanks together may need up to 8 cycles, your inner thighs or arms up to 4 cycles, and under your chin 2 cycles.

How Does Latisse® Eyelash Treatment Work?

The active ingredient in Latisse® eyelash treatment is bimatoprost, which is believed to affect how your eyelashes grow in two separate ways. First, it extends the length of the growth cycle for your lashes. Second, it increases how many hairs are growing during this essential phase.

This is a treatment that you can do in the comfort of your own home. Once a night, you can simply apply the serum to the base of the upper eyelashes.
