Summer is right around the corner, and the warmer, beach weather will be here before we know it! Now is the perfect time to start prepping for the sunshine with laser hair removal treatments. Because laser hair removal requires a series of treatments to achieve full results, starting now will ensure you have smooth skin just in time. During treatment, it is also important to avoid sun exposure to the treated area – another great reason to start hair removal treatments now while it’s still cold.
At Pender Medispa in Vancouver, we’re ready for summer just as much as you are. Doctor Paul Denton and his staff can help you get beach-ready with laser hair removal treatments. Contact Pender Medispa today to schedule your consultation. We’ll review everything you need to know about the treatment process, and we can create a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Target All of Your Trouble Areas
Laser hair removal is an effective treatment option for just about anywhere on the body. Both men and women can reap the benefits of smooth skin by treating areas such as the arms, legs, underarms, back and bikini line – just to name a few.
The precision treatment of the laser ensures that only the targeted hair follicles are affected. The skin and surrounding areas are left undisturbed.
Long-Term Results
If you’re tired of shaving and waxing, laser hair removal can offer a permanent solution. Unlike shaving, laser hair removal kills the follicles to prevent hair from ever growing back. When shaving and waxing, only the hair is removed – not the follicle. So, the hair regrows again and again. It’s time to toss out that razor once and for all.
How it Works
Laser hair removal is a non-invasive laser treatment procedure that can be performed right in our office. The procedure itself is virtually painless, but a topical anesthetic can be applied to ensure maximum comfort throughout the treatment process.
During treatment, one of our professional staff members will glide the laser across the skin being treated. The laser penetrates the skin and the heat damages the follicles. This prevents the hair from regrowing. Most treatments last under an hour, depending on the size of the treatment area. Small areas like the upper lip could be as quick as just a few minutes. After treatment, you may notice some redness or swelling, but this is normal and will diminish over time.
Due to the natural cycle of hair growth, a series of treatments is required to achieve full results. This allows the laser to target all of the follicles in the treatment area, leaving you with the smooth skin you want.
